Summary
Avorion servers are typically listed on the public server browser. Any player can see and join the server; however, players who want private servers can set a server password to restrict random users from joining. This is especially useful for players continuing Local Saves or galaxies as they may wish to retain the same users. In addition to a server password, users can customize the other aspects of their servers, such as server name, description, and numerous in-game settings.
How to Add a Password to an Avorion Server
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Games panel.
2. Stop the server.
3. Go to Config Files > Avorion Server Settings from the left sidebar.
4. Disable the Config Editor in the top-right if the file doesn't load.
5. Navigate to the password= section.
6. Enter a Secure Password.
7. When finished editing, choose Save Content.
8. Start the server.
9. A password will now be required to Join the server.
